Terms of Service

Effective October 17, 2026

These Terms govern your use of Letter From Later at letterfromlater.com (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

1. Who we are

The Service is operated by Alexey Mostovshchikov, an individual residing in the Russian Federation (“we”, “us”). Contact: hello@letterfromlater.com.

2. What the Service is

You answer eight short questions about your life right now. A computer program — an AI language model — uses your answers to write a letter in the voice of you, one year from now. You can read the letter on the site, we email you a copy, and exactly one year later we email it to you again.

The letter is reflective writing generated by software. It is not a prediction of the future and not advice of any kind — medical, psychological, financial, legal or otherwise.

3. Not therapy, not a crisis service

The Service is a program. It is not a substitute for a licensed professional and it is not an emergency service. No person reads your answers as you write them.

If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself: call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, 24/7), text HOME to 741741 (Crisis Text Line), or call 911 if you are in immediate danger.

If your answers suggest you may be in crisis, the Service stops and shows you these resources instead of writing a letter. This is intentional.

4. Who can use it

You must be 18 or older. If you tell us you are under 18, the Service will not continue, and we do not keep your answers.

5. Price and payment

6. Refunds

7. Your content

Your answers and your letter are yours. You allow us to store and process them only to provide the Service: to write the letter, show it to you, and email it to you now and again in one year. We don’t publish your letter, show it to anyone else, or use it in advertising. Please don’t submit other people’s private information.

8. Fair use

Don’t try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the Service, use it to write about real people without their consent, or resell it.

9. The one-year email

We work to keep the Service running and to deliver your letter again in a year, but we can’t guarantee that an email will reach you — for example, if your address stops working or the message lands in spam. If the Service is ever discontinued, we will try to let you know in advance and give you a way to keep your letter.

10. Liability

The Service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the letter in question.

11. Your data

How we handle your data is described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the current version. Changes never apply retroactively to a letter you have already bought.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Russian Federation. This does not take away any mandatory consumer protection you have under the laws of the country or state where you live.
